Role Description The Assistant Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The role involves overseeing day-to-day cargo and logistics operations, coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth movement of shipments, and monitoring schedules, documentation, and compliance requirements. The Assistant Manager will help manage staff workloads, track performance metrics, resolve operational issues, and support process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality. This position also includes preparing regular reports, assisting with budgeting and planning, and supporting senior management in decision-making and strategy execution.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to manage operations, coordinate multiple tasks, and prioritize workloads in a logistics or related environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as spreadsheets, presentation tools, and logistics or ERP software (if applicable).
Solid organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Ability to lead and support team members, including basic people-management and coaching capabilities.
Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education.
Familiarity with cargo handling procedures, transportation regulations, and safety standards is an advantage.
Willingness to work on-site in Ahmedabad and adapt to a fast-paced operational environment.
