Role Description The Advocate intern will support the firm’s legal practice through research, drafting, and case preparation. Day-to-day tasks may include reviewing case files, assisting in drafting pleadings, notices, and agreements, preparing briefs and documentation, and conducting legal research using relevant statutes, case law, and secondary sources. The intern may assist in client interactions under supervision, help organize case materials, and observe court proceedings to understand practical litigation processes. This is an internship role with a hybrid work arrangement, where the position is primarily based in Patna but allows some work-from-home flexibility as assigned by the supervising advocates.
Qualifications
Enrollment in or completion of a law degree (LL.B or equivalent) from a recognized institution and a strong interest in litigation and advocacy.
Ability to conduct structured legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, and case law to support ongoing matters.
Skill in drafting clear, accurate legal documents, including pleadings, notices, contracts, and legal opinions under guidance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing work, internal coordination, and preparation of reports and summaries.
Capacity to manage time effectively, handle multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced professional setting.
Professional integrity, respect for confidentiality, and willingness to learn from feedback and supervision.
Comfort with basic digital tools, document management systems, and online legal research platforms.
Prior internship experience in a law firm, court, or legal organization is beneficial but not mandatory.
