Ccentric Executive Search, part of The Wavelength Group, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, is experiencing a significant increase in retained work, alongside new opportunities in life sciences in Australia and Europe. We need more senior search capacity, and we’re flexible about how it comes.
The work
End-to-end retained searches for CEOs, Chief Medical Officers, Directors of Medical Services, Executive and Clinical Directors, and board appointments
Senior leadership searches for life sciences, medtech and biotech organisations, including venture-backed companies
Advising clients on the real leadership problem, not just the vacancy: context, stakeholders, culture and what the role needs to deliver
Candidate assessment, shortlisting and panel management with senior decision-makers
How it can work
Part-time permanent (two to four days a week), fixed-term contract, or assignment by assignment
Remote or hybrid, with access to our offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast
Remuneration structured to suit the arrangement, with a meaningful share of the fees you generate

Who this suits
Experienced executive search consultants with a track record in retained search
Comfortable advising boards, CEOs and senior executives
Healthcare, life sciences or health technology experience is valuable but not essential
Self-directed and organised, able to run a search without close management
Returning after a career break, transitioning to a portfolio career, or wanting senior work on your own terms
This role is less suited to people looking to learn search from scratch, or to those whose experience is mainly high-volume contingent recruitment.
