Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Data Engineer at GetCollg.. The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support the platform’s analytics and product features. Daily responsibilities include developing ETL processes, optimizing data models, and managing data warehouses to ensure reliable and high-quality data. The role involves collaborating with product, engineering, and analytics teams to understand data needs, implement solutions, and improve data accessibility. The Data Engineer will also monitor data performance, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to best practices for data governance and security.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Engineering and Data Warehousing to design and manage scalable data infrastructure.
Candidates should possess solid experience in Data Modeling and Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes to build efficient and reliable data pipelines.
Candidates should possess capabilities in Data Analytics to interpret data, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (such as Python or Scala) is beneficial.
Experience with cloud data platforms and tools (such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and related data services) is advantageous.
Familiarity with version control, CI/CD practices, and data governance or security standards is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
