Design Engineer – PHE/FF | Hyderabad

We are currently hiring for the position of Design Manager – PHE / Fire Fighting for a reputed organization in the Data Center / MEP / EPC sector.
📌 Position Details
Position: Design Manager – PHE / Fire Fighting
Experience: 10–20 Years
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
Function: Design & Engineering
Preferred Industry Background:
Data Center / Mission Critical Projects
MEP EPC / MEP Design & Build
Building Services / MEP Engineering
EPC – Industrial / Commercial Projects
Preferred Project Experience: Data Centers, Mission Critical Facilities, Large Commercial Buildings, Industrial Projects and other complex MEP projects.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Develop and review detailed PHE and Fire Fighting designs, including layouts, schematics, hydraulic calculations and equipment selection.
Design and coordinate water supply, drainage, fire hydrant, sprinkler and fire suppression systems.
Review fire pump systems, pump rooms, sprinklers and associated firefighting equipment.
Prepare and review BOQs, technical specifications, technical submittals, equipment specifications and material requisitions.
Coordinate PHE/Fire Fighting designs with Architecture, Civil, Structural, Electrical, HVAC and other MEP disciplines.
Review design drawings, layouts, schematics and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors and site execution teams to resolve technical queries and design issues.
Provide design support during procurement, execution, testing & commissioning and project handover.
Conduct design self-checks, technical reviews and peer reviews to ensure quality and design compliance.
Ensure designs comply with applicable NBC, NFPA, IS Codes/Standards and project-specific specifications.
Manage multiple design deliverables/projects and ensure timely completion as per project requirements.
Provide technical guidance to design engineers and coordinate design activities across projects.

Strong hands-on experience in PHE & Fire Fighting System Design
Water Supply & Drainage System Design
Fire Hydrant & Sprinkler System Design
Fire Suppression System Design
Fire Pump / Pump Room Design
Hydraulic calculations and system sizing
BOQ, quantity take-off and technical specifications
Equipment selection and technical evaluation
Fire Fighting layouts, schematics and design documentation
Understanding of pipe supports and piping coordination
AutoCAD
BIM / Navisworks
Multidisciplinary MEP coordination
Knowledge of NBC, NFPA & relevant IS Standards
Strong client / consultant coordination and technical documentation skills

Hyperscale / Enterprise / Colocation Data Centers
Large-scale MEP EPC / Design & Build Projects
Complex Commercial / Industrial MEP Projects
