Role Description The Transportation Specialist will manage day-to-day transportation operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods to and from Mundra. This full-time on-site role includes planning and coordinating shipments, monitoring transportation schedules, and resolving operational issues to maintain service levels. The position involves working closely with internal teams, carriers, and customers to track shipments, address inquiries, and maintain accurate documentation and records. The Transportation Specialist will also analyze transportation performance data, support process improvements, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Transportation Planning and Transportation Management skills to coordinate routes, modes, and schedules effectively.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, optimize costs, and improve operational efficiency.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to collaborate with stakeholders and handle customer queries professionally.
Relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation operations, ideally in an industrial or port environment.
Working knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and basic proficiency in MS Excel or similar tools.
Understanding of safety standards, regulatory guidelines, and documentation related to freight movement.
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Mundra, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced operational setting.
