Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Research and Development Refrigeration Engineer based in Chandigarh. The role involves designing and developing new refrigeration products and systems, as well as improving existing designs for performance, efficiency, and reliability. Daily responsibilities include conducting research, performing calculations and simulations, preparing technical documentation, and coordinating with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality, and procurement. The engineer will plan and execute testing activities, analyze data, and translate findings into design recommendations and product enhancements. The role also includes supporting prototype builds, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Qualifications
Full time B.tech. in Mechanical Engineering is required.
Strong analytical skills to interpret test data, perform performance calculations, and support design decisions.
Experience in Research and Development (R&D) and research activities related to refrigeration systems, thermal engineering, or HVAC.
Hands-on experience with testing, validation, and performance evaluation of refrigeration or thermal management equipment.
Background in product development, including concept design, prototyping, and design optimization for manufacturability.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Thermal Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, compressors, heat exchangers, refrigerants, and energy efficiency principles.
Familiarity with engineering design and simulation tools (e.g., CAD software, thermodynamic analysis tools) is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Chandigarh, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate technical information clearly.
Understanding of relevant industry standards, safety practices, and quality management processes is beneficial.
