WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN US?
You are at the top of your ‘event’ game and excited by the idea of marketing events and event tech to the people who run them. And even more excited to grow EventMobi’s event team and our portfolio of events.
Our customers are experienced conference organizers. So is the crowd at every show we exhibit at. You'll walk the floor knowing your audience better than anyone in the building, because you are your audience. Our marketing ethos is to offer value at every interaction, and in-person events are the best way to educate and engage the events community and our customer base.
You'll own EventMobi's entire events program: the trade shows, the sponsorships, and the events we host ourselves. Strategy, budget, messaging, booth, results. Start with local workshops and exclusive dinners, build momentum, and turn it into our first user conference. Not many people get to say they launched one of those.
EventMobi is a one-of-a-kind bootstrapped gem, built on people who show up for each other. Founded in 2010, and growing sustainably. No VC money shenanigans or crazy expectations. Every dollar you put into an event has a job to do, and you'll know exactly what it earned.
WHO YOU ARE
You're a marketer first. Events are your channel, and pipeline is your scoreboard. Your secret weapon is superb organization and project management.
You know your events cost per opportunity before anyone asks. And you'd rather cut a beloved event than defend one that doesn't pay off.
WHAT YOUR WORK WILL FOCUS ON
1. Own the Tradeshow Floor
For every show, you own the whole story: the calendar, budget, messaging, the pre-show marketing push, booth design, shipping, staffing and on-site execution. You make sure potential buyers know where to find us, work with Demand Gen and Sales to fill the calendar with meetings before the doors open, and ensure every lead lands in HubSpot, attributed. On the floor, you're the event tech expert in the room. You know what competitors are up to, how EventMobi stacks up, and you design the activation to create the differentiation.
2. Make Every Sponsored Event Pay Off
When we sponsor an industry event with our event tech, your team is the single point of contact. You lock the give/get in writing early, run our on-site presence, and grow our database with every opt-in. You partner with Customer Success so their event is a hit, spot the features they should be using next, and hand advocacy wins like case studies and reviews to Customer Marketing.
3. Build EventMobi’s Owned Events, From Local Dinners to Our First User Conference
You decide what every event we host is for: new pipeline or deeper customer relationships. Then you build it: format, agenda, speakers, venue, run of show, and the marketing that fills the room. Everything runs on EventMobi, because our own events are the best demo we've got. You'll start with local workshops and meetups and grow them into our annual user conference.
4. Run It Like Your Business
You keep the single source of truth for every event, project manage each one, own vendors and contracts, and forecast the budget so there are no surprises. Every quarter, you bring the VP of Marketing a clear call on what to scale, what to maintain and what to cut, backed by spend, pipeline and revenue.
SUPPORT & COLLABORATION
You can’t do this alone. Here's who's in it with you:
Event Coordinator: reports to you, full-time from day one. As the program grows, so does the team.
VP of Marketing: your manager and biggest support. Direction, prioritization, and the person who clears blockers.
Demand Gen: deploys your campaigns and partners with you on target accounts and meeting bookings.
Sales: your crew on the floor, and the people who turn booth conversations into revenue. Most are pros at this, but there are always our noobs who will love your help and guidance to show up strong.
Customer Success: Supports the build and management of event tech for the sponsored industry conferences.
Marketing Operations: HubSpot, attribution and reporting, so your numbers hold up in any room.
Tools: HubSpot, Claude, Zapier, Notion, Fellow, Slack, Google Workspace, and of course, the EventMobi platform itself.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
8+ years in corporate event marketing at a B2B company. You've been the exhibitor in the booth, not just the agency or the organizer running the show.
You've managed a high volume of third-party trade shows and sponsored events portfolio
You have been involved in the planning and execution of a mid-size user conference and exclusive dinner series.
Strong Event Tech experience. Registration platforms, lead capture apps, badge printing and event app builds using EventMobi’s competitors.
Bonus points if you already know this industry from the inside. IMEX, MPI, PCMA, CSAE, ASAE are familiar acronyms to you.
You've owned an event budget and can show what each event returned in pipeline and revenue. Not just badge scans.
You write sharp event messaging and copy yourself, and you're proud of it.
You treat HubSpot and attribution as part of the job, demand gen is there for support but you know where your event leads are at.
You're up for travelling about once a month across North America and Europe
