Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Mumbai. The Interior Designer will collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop design concepts, plan layouts, and select finishes and furnishings that align with functional needs, budgets, and project timelines. Daily responsibilities include space planning, preparing design presentations, coordinating with architects and contractors, producing or reviewing construction drawings, and overseeing design implementation on-site. The role also involves selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), ensuring quality standards, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders throughout each project. The Interior Designer will contribute to improving overall project efficiency by integrating interior design with SupplyBase’s broader property improvement services.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to create functional, aesthetically balanced layouts.
Candidates should possess Architecture-related skills, including understanding building codes, structural considerations, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
Candidates should possess Construction Drawings skills, including preparing or reviewing detailed plans, sections, and elevations for on-site execution.
Candidates should possess FF&E expertise, including selecting, specifying, and coordinating furniture, fixtures, and equipment that align with design intent and budget.
Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools) and familiarity with MS Office.
Strong visualization, detailing, and material knowledge, with attention to quality and practicality.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines on-site.
Previous experience in residential or commercial interior projects in Mumbai or nearby regions is an advantage.
