This is an opportunity to combine hands-on operational leadership with people development, stakeholder partnership and continuous improvement, ensuring our suppliers are paid accurately and on time while strengthening the processes and controls that support MECCA as we scale.
The Role You Could Play:
Leading a team of three Accounts Payable Officers, you will oversee MECCA’s end-to-end accounts payable operations and play a key role in delivering an efficient, accurate and customer-focused service. You will:
Lead, coach and develop the Accounts Payable team, managing workloads and building a collaborative, accountable and high-performing environment

Manage AP cash forecasting and payment requirements, partnering with Finance and business teams to identify risks and timing changes
Own AP month-end and year-end close activities, reconciliations and audit requirements, ensuring accuracy and balance sheet integrity
Drive continuous improvement across AP processes, systems and controls while building trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors
Support the AP component of the ERP transformation process including data cleansing, migration and change management.
What You Will Bring:
You are an experienced transactional finance leader who combines strong attention to detail with a practical, solutions-focused approach. You enjoy developing people, improving processes and building trusted relationships in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you will bring:
Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating an accounts payable or transactional finance team in a high-volume environment, with retail and inventory experience highly regarded
Strong knowledge of end-to-end accounts payable, payment controls, reconciliations and month-end close
Proven people leadership skills, with the ability to coach, develop and support a high-performing team
A process-driven mindset with strong judgement, organisation and the confidence to identify and implement practical improvements
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with ERP and accounts payable systems, supported by a business, accounting or finance qualification or equivalent relevant experience
