Role Description The Fabrication and Production Carpenter will work full time in a hybrid capacity, primarily on-site in Saket with some work-from-home tasks for planning or coordination when feasible. Day-to-day responsibilities include measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wooden and decorative structures for events, sets, and display units according to technical drawings and design briefs. The role involves selecting appropriate materials, operating hand and power tools, performing framing and finish carpentry, and ensuring structures are safe, stable, and visually aligned with design standards. The carpenter will collaborate with designers and production staff, maintain a clean and organized workspace, follow safety protocols, and support timely setup and dismantling of projects.
Qualifications
Strong carpentry skills, including experience in fabrication and production work.
Proficiency with power tools and hand tools used in woodworking and on-site installations.
Hands-on experience with framing and structural assembly for sets, stages, or decorative installations.
Ability to perform finish carpentry, including precise fitting, detailing, and surface preparation.
Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, measurements, and design specifications.
Attention to safety, including proper tool handling and adherence to workshop and site safety guidelines.
Good physical stamina and ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work on-site during event setups.
Effective teamwork and communication skills, with a collaborative and reliable work style.
Prior experience in event production, set building, or similar fabrication environments is an advantage.
Relevant vocational training or certification in carpentry or woodworking is preferred but not mandatory.
