About the Role
On The Rocks (OTR Direct) is looking for a Traffic Executive to join our UK Transport Operations team in Hyderabad.
The role involves handling calls from drivers, understanding their queries, coordinating with the UK transport team, and helping resolve day-to-day operational issues.
You will work closely with drivers and UK-based teams to ensure smooth transport operations.
The ideal candidate should have good English communication skills, confidence in handling phone calls, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in transport, logistics, fleet operations, customer service, BPO, voice processes, or UK processes will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Handle inbound calls from drivers and understand their queries.
Assist drivers with operational and transport-related issues.
Coordinate with the UK Transport / Traffic team to resolve issues.
Communicate information about deliveries, collections, routes, and timings to drivers.
Escalate urgent or complex issues to the appropriate UK team.
Follow up on pending driver queries and ensure timely resolution.
Maintain accurate records of calls, queries, and operational issues.
Update transport trackers and basic reports.
Use MS Excel for maintaining operational information.
Communicate operational updates and instructions to drivers.
Support the UK team with daily transport operations.
Ensure proper communication and handover between teams.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
1–5 years of experience in Transport, Logistics, Operations, Customer Service, BPO, Voice Process, or a similar role.
Good English communication skills – verbal and written.
Confident in handling telephone calls.
Good listening and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with drivers.
Good coordination and follow-up skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple queries.
Good attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel.
Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotational shift environment.
Shift Details
This is a 24/7 operation, so employees will work in different shifts based on the 4-week rotating roster.
Shift Timings
Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Late Shift: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Night Shift: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Each shift includes a 1-hour break, with 8 hours of paid working time.
How the Rotation Works
The shift rotation follows:
Day → Late → Night → OFF
The roster runs for 4 weeks and then repeats from Week 1.
Please note:
Shifts are rotated according to the 4-week roster.
Weekly offs are rotational.
Sunday offs are also rotated among the team.
The role requires flexibility to work Day, Late, and Night shifts.
Employees will not be moved directly from a Night shift to a Day shift; an OFF day is provided in the rotation.
Handover
As the operation runs 24/7, employees are required to provide a proper handover to the next shift.
The handover may include:
Pending driver queries
Vehicle or driver updates
Operational issues
Incidents
Pending follow-ups
Other important information for the next shift
This helps ensure smooth operations throughout the day and night.
