Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Linux Firmware Developer role based in Noida.The individual in this role will design, implement, and maintain embedded Linux firmware for EV charging stations, ensuring reliable performance, security, and compatibility with Blink’s cloud-based network. Daily responsibilities include developing and optimizing embedded software modules, integrating firmware with hardware components, performing root-cause analysis and debugging issues in production and test environments, and collaborating with electrical and software engineers on system architecture and design. The role also involves creating and maintaining technical documentation, supporting validation and field testing, and contributing to continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
Qualifications
Strong embedded software and firmware development skills, including experience with embedded Linux, real-time constraints, and low-level programming.
Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting complex embedded systems, including use of diagnostic tools, logs, and hardware interfaces.
Knowledge of ARM architecture and related toolchains, bootloaders, drivers, and performance optimization on ARM-based platforms.
Understanding of electrical engineering principles relevant to embedded systems, such as interfaces, power management, and hardware–software integration.
Experience with C/C++, version control (e.g., Git), build systems, and scripting languages (e.g., Python or Bash).
Background in IoT or connected device development, ideally involving networked hardware, cloud integration, or industrial/EV applications.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and follow secure coding and quality assurance practices.
