Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Trivandrum. The individual in this position will manage general ledger accounting, prepare and review journal entries, and ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining financial records, reconciling bank and vendor accounts, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and preparing financial statements and management reports. The Senior Accountant will oversee compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and coordinate with internal teams and external auditors. This role also involves identifying process improvements, supporting internal controls, and providing financial insights to assist leadership in decision-making.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets, with the ability to work accurately with large data sets.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic and operational decisions.
Knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes in the Indian real estate context.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
Prior experience in real estate, construction, or related industries is preferred.
