Pay: $35.00/hr. + Pay For Performance Bonus

The Liquid Cylinder Repair (LCR) II will support the safe care and maintenance of high-pressure cylinders in alignment with federal, state, and local regulations, while meeting the standard operating procedures of Airgas. Maintains vacuum pumps, manifolds, and equipment to support smooth, continuous plant operations. Maintains repair/replacement parts inventory to ensure team readiness.
Contributes to all Liquid Cylinder Repair (LCR) functions for Level LCR I.
Performs cosmetic and plumbing repairs and replaces parts as outlined in the LCR manual.
Conducts Annular Vacuum & Normal Evaporative Rate (NER) tests while preparing Traveler Papers in alignment with the LCR manual.
Removes labels and polishes cylinders by machine and hand to ensure high quality standards.
Repairs or replaces handles and wheels as needed to support product safety and usability.
Labels cylinders for final inspection/QC and prepares cylinders for shipment (palletizing cylinders, and wrapping) in collaboration with the plant team.
Inspects cylinders following standard procedures in alignment with government, Airgas, and distributor standards. Conducts a variety of safety checks per procedures, such as reviewing for visual defects and examining valves, safeties, and plumbing.
Assists with the loading & unloading of cylinders on & off pallets, trucks, and tractor-trailers. Safely operates a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
Coordinates documentation to DOT, OSHA, and Airgas standards. Completes quality control sheets as required.
Builds knowledge and awareness of various gas hazards; identifies size and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder data plates, labels, and CGA valve types. Accurately labels cylinders.
Aligns with all government and company standards relating to the safe handling of hazardous materials and cylinder gases.
Participates in all training opportunities including Safety, DOT, basic cylinder handling, AGU, & LCR.
Maintains a neat, clean, and orderly plant appearance.
Welcomes other supportive duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience as LCR I.
Prior forklift operator experience and current training certificate issued by Airgas.
Excellent Visual Examination of Cylinders knowledge and skills
Familiar with Airgas Manuals, bulletins, CGA documents, and DOT regulations.
Ability to safely operate a forklift.
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Strong background in gas, welding and safety supply industry or chemical industry preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets.
Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
Strong level of attention to detail.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
The hourly base pay range for this position in California is $35.00/hr. Please note that the hourly base pay information is a general guideline only. Airgas considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
