Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead the company's global Marketing organization and drive brand growth, customer acquisition, market positioning, revenue growth, and long-term business performance.
The CMO will develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy aligned with the company's corporate and commercial objectives. This executive will oversee brand strategy, demand generation, digital marketing, product marketing, content, communications, market research, customer engagement, and marketing operations.
The CMO will work closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Business Development, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership to strengthen market presence, accelerate customer acquisition, expand into new markets, and maximize marketing ROI.
Key Responsibilities1. Marketing Strategy & Executive Leadership
Develop and execute the company's global marketing strategy.
Align marketing priorities with corporate and revenue objectives.
Establish marketing frameworks, processes, budgets, and performance standards.
Identify market opportunities and emerging customer trends.
Serve as a strategic marketing advisor to Executive Leadership.
2. Brand Strategy & Market Positioning
Develop and strengthen the company's global brand strategy.
Establish clear market positioning and competitive differentiation.
Maintain consistent brand identity across markets and channels.
Monitor competitor positioning, market trends, and customer perceptions.
Develop strategies to increase brand awareness, credibility, and market influence.
3. Demand Generation & Customer Acquisition
Lead demand generation and customer acquisition strategies.
Develop scalable lead generation and conversion programs.
Optimize customer acquisition channels and marketing funnels.
Partner with Sales to improve lead quality, pipeline generation, and conversion.
Establish measurable acquisition targets and performance metrics.
4. Product Marketing & Go-to-Market Strategy
Lead product marketing and go-to-market initiatives.
Develop product positioning, messaging, packaging, and launch strategies.
Partner with Product and Sales teams on market opportunities and customer needs.
Support successful launches and adoption of new products and services.
Monitor product marketing performance and customer response.
5. Digital Marketing & Content Strategy
Oversee digital marketing, content, social media, and online campaigns.
Develop integrated content strategies across relevant channels.
Optimize SEO, paid media, email, and digital engagement programs.
Strengthen customer engagement through targeted content and campaigns.
Continuously evaluate and improve digital marketing effectiveness.
6. Marketing Analytics & Performance Management
Establish marketing KPIs, dashboards, and reporting systems.
Monitor customer acquisition, conversion, engagement, pipeline, and ROI.
Use data and analytics to improve marketing decisions and resource allocation.
Evaluate campaign performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
Present marketing performance and strategic recommendations to Executive Leadership.
7. Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Business Development, and Revenue Operations.
Align marketing initiatives with sales and commercial objectives.
Collaborate with Finance on budgets, forecasting, and marketing ROI.
Coordinate cross-functional go-to-market and market expansion initiatives.
Ensure consistent customer and brand experiences across business functions.
8. Marketing Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, mentor, and develop marketing leaders and professionals.
Build and scale a high-performing global Marketing organization.
Establish career paths, competency frameworks, and performance standards.
Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, innovation, and performance.
Develop future marketing leaders and strengthen organizational capabilities.
QualificationsEducation
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Economics, or a related field.
MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
20+ years of progressive experience in Marketing, Brand Management, Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, or related functions.
10+ years of senior marketing leadership experience.
Proven experience leading global or multi-regional marketing organizations.
Demonstrated success driving brand growth, customer acquisition, market expansion, and revenue growth.
Strong experience with demand generation, digital marketing, product marketing, communications, and go-to-market strategy.
Experience managing marketing budgets, performance metrics, and ROI.
Strong strategic, analytical, commercial, communication, and executive leadership capabilities.
