JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Position Overview
Avilamb Inc. is seeking a GCP Application Developer to build secure cloud-native applications, proof-of-concept solutions, backend services, AI-enabled features, and agentic workflows on Google Cloud Platform. The role combines application development, Gemini integration, microservices, event-driven architecture, CI/CD, and secure API development.
2. Key Responsibilities
Build proof-of-concept applications, automated workflows, and user interfaces that demonstrate technical capabilities to business and technical stakeholders.
Design AI agentic harnesses using Gemini models to perform multi-step tasks, interact with internal APIs, and process data securely.
Develop AI-enhanced features including natural-language interfaces, automated content generation, and data analysis.
Develop applications using Python and/or Node.js.
Build and maintain secure backend systems and microservices on Cloud Run, App Engine, or GKE.
Develop secure RESTful and/or gRPC services for application interoperability.
Build event-driven solutions using Cloud Spanner, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, and related GCP services.
Create secure, auditable CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
Implement granular access controls and cloud security practices for internal applications and services.
Develop within regulated cloud environments and maintain appropriate technical documentation.
3. Required Qualifications
Minimum 6 years setting up, configuring, and using GCP cloud operational tools while meeting service levels, performance targets, policies, and standards.
Experience building proof-of-concept applications, automated workflows, and user interfaces.
Advanced proficiency in HCL, YAML, JSON, Python and/or Node.js.
Hands-on Gemini API experience for AI agents and AI-enhanced application features.
Experience with secure CI/CD and microservices on Cloud Run, App Engine, or GKE.
Strong backend development experience and secure RESTful or gRPC API development.
Experience with event-driven data stacks including Cloud Spanner and Pub/Sub.
Experience working in environments governed by federal frameworks and operational tooling.
Must be able to obtain Public Trust.
4. Preferred Qualifications
Active Public Trust.
Current GCP certification such as Cloud Developer, Machine Learning Engineer, Generative AI Leader, Associate Cloud Engineer, or Professional Cloud Architect.
Federal Government experience.
Experience with FedRAMP, HIPAA, NIST 800-53, CIS benchmarks, or other regulated environments.
Multi-cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Oracle.
Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Kubernetes, ITIL, and data management for AI applications.
5. Technical Environment
Development: Python, Node.js, HCL, YAML, JSON, SQL, REST, gRPC, DataFrames.
GCP: Gemini API, Cloud Run, App Engine, GKE, Cloud Spanner, Pub/Sub, Bigtable, Firebase, API Gateway, Cloud Storage.
Security/Networking: IAM, Google Service Accounts, Assured Workloads, Binary Authorization, Firewall Policies, VPC, Cloud DNS, Load Balancing, NAT, IPv6.
DevOps/Operations: Google CI/CD, Git, Terraform, Cloud Logging/Monitoring and related enterprise observability, security, service-management, and governance tools.
