Civil Litigation Attorney Position Overview
A growing California law firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance defense and/or insurance coverage matters and be comfortable handling a variety of civil litigation responsibilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking for flexibility, meaningful litigation experience, and the ability to work remotely or in a hybrid arrangement in the Modesto/Sacramento area.
Key Responsibilities
Handle civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
Defend insurance-related claims and disputes
Assist with insurance coverage matters
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
Participate in discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, insurers, and other parties
Manage assigned caseload and meet applicable deadlines
Qualifications
California Bar admission in good standing
1+ years of civil litigation experience preferred, but not required
Insurance defense and/or insurance coverage experience preferred but not required
Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
Strong attention to detail and a team-oriented approach
ABA preferred
