Role Description The Payroll Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a portfolio of client organizations. Day-to-day work includes preparing and reviewing payroll data, validating timesheets and compensation changes, and administering deductions such as benefits and garnishments. The role manages payroll taxes and related reporting, coordinates with payroll services providers, and responds to payroll inquiries from clients and employees in a professional and service-oriented manner. The Payroll Specialist also assists with compliance reviews, reconciliations, and documentation to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Collaboration with HR, accounting, and client contacts is essential to resolve discrepancies and continuously improve payroll workflows.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Payroll Processing and Payroll Administration to manage end-to-end payroll cycles accurately and efficiently.
Candidates should possess skills in Payroll Taxes and Payroll Services to ensure compliant tax handling and effective use of external payroll platforms or vendors.
Candidates should possess skills in managing Garnishments and other statutory deductions with strict attention to legal and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and maintain professional communication with clients and employees.
Experience with payroll or HRIS software and proficiency with spreadsheets or other reporting tools.
Prior experience in payroll, accounting, or HR operations is preferred; relevant certifications or coursework in payroll or finance are a plus.
