Solution Architect – Data Platform / Snowflake

Role Overview
The Solution Architect will lead the end-to-end architecture and technical design of a Snowflake data platform. The role will ensure that the target architecture is scalable, secure, governed and fit for analytics, application integration and AI use cases.
Key Responsibilities
Define and govern the target Snowflake architecture across Dev, UAT and Production environments.
Design the overall data platform architecture, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, data modelling, serving and consumption layers.
Establish design patterns for the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum data layers.
Define security and governance architecture, including RBAC, SSO, SCIM, network policies, PrivateLink, data classification, masking and audit controls.
Work with security, infrastructure and application teams on security accreditation, network connectivity and environment readiness.
Provide technical oversight for CI/CD, deployment controls, monitoring, disaster recovery and operational handover.
Review solution designs and guide the Data Engineering team on implementation decisions, risks and trade-offs.
Produce architecture documents, design decisions, standards and implementation roadmaps.
Support knowledge transfer to the client’s technical teams.
Required Skills and Experience
At least 10 years of experience in solution, cloud or data architecture.
Strong hands-on experience designing Snowflake-based data platforms.
Experience with data warehouse/lakehouse architecture, data modelling and medallion architecture.
Experience with Azure services, including Azure Entra ID, private networking and storage.
Strong understanding of data governance, RBAC, masking, classification, audit and security controls.
Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices for data platforms.
Ability to engage both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
Snowflake certifications.
Experience in regulated, public-sector or security-sensitive environments.
Experience with Power BI, Snowpark, Streamlit, Cortex AI or secure data sharing.
