Position Summary
The Global Account Director (GAM) for Hitachi Group is responsible for developing and executing ADI's global account strategy across Hitachi's diverse business portfolio, including Energy, Rail, Industrial Equipment, Digital Systems, Building Systems, and High-Tech businesses.
This role serves as the primary executive interface between Analog Devices and Hitachi Group, driving long-term strategic partnerships, business growth, executive engagement, supply chain collaboration, and global account governance. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams and coordinate business activities across Japan, EMEA, Americas, and APAC regions.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Account Leadership
Develop and execute the global account strategy for Hitachi Group.
Create and maintain a multi-year growth plan to expand ADI's footprint across Hitachi businesses.
Drive revenue growth, design wins, and strategic business development initiatives.
Align ADI business units and regional organizations to maximize customer value.
Executive Relationship Management
Establish trusted relationships with Hitachi executive leadership, procurement organizations, and business unit management.
Lead executive-to-executive engagement programs.
Organize and facilitate business reviews, executive meetings, and strategic discussions.
Act as the voice of Hitachi within ADI and the voice of ADI within Hitachi.
Global Account Coordination
Coordinate account activities across regional sales organizations, business units, marketing, operations, and applications teams.
Drive collaboration among global stakeholders to accelerate project execution and customer satisfaction.
Lead account planning and governance processes.
Procurement & Supply Chain Partnership
Support strategic procurement relationships at Hitachi headquarters and global business units.
Manage escalation activities related to supply continuity, lead-time, pricing, and commercial issues.
Improve visibility of global demand and business forecasts.
Facilitate alignment on pricing, sourcing, and supply chain strategies.
Business Development & Ecosystem Creation
Identify emerging opportunities across Hitachi's global businesses.
Promote ADI solutions in industrial automation, energy infrastructure, rail, robotics, AI, sensing, power, and connectivity.
Coordinate internal and external ecosystem partners to create differentiated customer value.
Influence customer technology roadmaps and long-term strategic direction.
Global Governance & Escalation Management
Serve as the executive escalation point for major business issues.
Consolidate account intelligence across regions and business units.
Communicate strategic opportunities, risks, and competitive dynamics to senior leadership.
Drive best practices and governance across the global account structure.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
10+ years of experience in semiconductor, industrial technology, or strategic account management.
Proven success managing large, complex multinational customers.
Experience engaging with senior executives and procurement organizations.
Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead global cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Fluent Japanese and business-level English.
Willingness to travel internationally.
