Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Data Engineer at ZOLDO. The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to support analytics, reporting, and product features across various client and internal projects. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing data models, implementing and managing data warehousing solutions, and ensuring data quality, integrity, and security. The role involves collaborating with software engineers, data analysts, and stakeholders to understand data needs, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and improve data infrastructure performance and scalability. The Data Engineer will also participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of data engineering practices in a distributed, remote-first environment.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Data Engineering, including building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and working with large datasets.
Experience with Data Modeling and Data Warehousing for analytical and operational workloads.
Hands-on expertise in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, tools, and frameworks for integrating data from multiple sources.
Capability in Data Analytics to support reporting, dashboarding, and data-driven decision-making.
Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala).
Familiarity with cloud data platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data stack tools is advantageous.
Understanding of data security, compliance, and best practices for reliable, production-grade data systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
