Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Engineer role based in Madurai. The Design Engineer will develop and refine product designs, prepare detailed engineering drawings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements and timelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include using CAD tools to create models and assemblies, performing basic engineering calculations, reviewing specifications, and supporting prototype development and testing. The role also involves documenting design changes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and communicating clearly with project managers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to enable smooth production and implementation.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering and Product Design skills, including the ability to translate requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions.
Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering expertise, including knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and fundamental mechanics.
Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, with experience in 3D modeling and drafting using industry-standard software.
Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering understanding where relevant, including familiarity with integrating mechanical and electrical components.
Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams on-site in Madurai.
A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is preferred.
Relevant internship or industry experience in design or product development, and familiarity with engineering standards and safety practices, will be beneficial.
