Role Description The State Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Lucknow, responsible for overseeing and coordinating state-level projects and initiatives. The role involves planning project activities, managing timelines and resources, supervising field teams, and ensuring adherence to project goals and quality standards. The State Project Manager will liaise with local partners, government departments, and community organizations, maintain regular reporting and documentation, and monitor progress through site visits and inspections. Day-to-day tasks include resolving operational challenges, coordinating logistics for trainings and events, supporting data collection and analysis, and ensuring compliance with organizational and donor requirements. The role also requires proactive risk management, mentorship of team members, and contribution to strategic improvements in program design and delivery.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in Project Management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting for multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Skills in Expediting and Expeditor functions, with the ability to accelerate key project activities and resolve bottlenecks across teams and partners.
Experience in Logistics Management, including coordination of travel, events, materials, and field operations across multiple locations.
Inspection and field monitoring skills, with the ability to assess project sites, verify compliance with standards, and provide corrective guidance.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work effectively with community groups, institutions, and government agencies.
Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with experience supervising staff and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in basic MS Office tools and project documentation.
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, management, development studies, or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certification in project management is an advantage.
Prior experience in development, microfinance, financial inclusion, or community-based programs in Uttar Pradesh or similar contexts is beneficial.
