About the Company
Nexal IIT is offering a structured remote internship for freshers who want to begin a career in backend development. The internship provides practical exposure to building server-side applications, developing APIs, working with databases, implementing backend functionality, and supporting scalable web applications.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing and maintaining backend applications and server-side functionality.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs for web and application-based projects.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient backend code using relevant programming languages and frameworks.
Work with databases to store, retrieve, update, and manage application data.
Implement business logic, authentication, validation, and application functionality.
Integrate backend services with frontend applications and third-party APIs.
Test, debug, and troubleshoot backend applications and APIs.
Assist in identifying and resolving performance, reliability, and security-related issues.
Work with SQL or NoSQL databases based on project requirements.
Use Git and version-control practices to manage source code and development workflows.
Document APIs, code, technical approaches, and development progress clearly.
Collaborate with remote team members and complete assigned development tasks and deliverables on time.
Requirements
Suitable for freshers with an interest in backend development, software development, web development, or a related area.
Basic understanding of programming concepts and object-oriented programming.
Familiarity with at least one backend programming language such as Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, or similar technologies.
Basic understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, and client-server architecture.
Basic knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases and database concepts.
Familiarity with frameworks such as Express.js, Django, Flask, Spring Boot, or similar technologies is beneficial.
Basic knowledge of Git and version control is beneficial.
Understanding of authentication, authorization, and basic application security is beneficial.
Strong logical reasoning, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing deadlines responsibly.
This is a paid, remote internship with a duration of 3 months and a performance-based stipend of up to ₹10,000.
