IAM / Okta Consultant 3-Month Contract (extendable)

We are partnering with a leading Australian financial services organisation to engage an experienced IAM / Okta Consultant for an initial 3-month contract. This role will support a key identity transformation initiative, focused on expanding and optimising the organisation's identity and access management capabilities across a growing SaaS environment.
Working closely with security, infrastructure, application and business stakeholders, you will play a hands-on role in delivering secure and scalable identity solutions using Okta, while helping to automate and streamline onboarding processes through Infrastructure as Code practices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the onboarding and integration of SaaS applications into the Okta platform.
Configure and administer Okta identity services, including SSO, MFA, lifecycle management and provisioning workflows.
Design and implement IAM solutions aligned to security and compliance requirements.
Develop and maintain Terraform code to automate identity infrastructure and configuration management.
Partner with application owners and business stakeholders to gather requirements and drive successful integrations.
Assess and improve identity governance, access controls and user lifecycle processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve identity-related issues across applications and platforms.
Provide guidance and best-practice recommendations on IAM and Okta capabilities.
Support knowledge transfer and documentation activities to ensure ongoing operational success.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience delivering Identity and Access Management (IAM) projects within enterprise environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Okta, including SaaS application integrations.
Experience implementing Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and user provisioning solutions.
Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
Understanding of identity governance, access management and security best practices.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and drive outcomes within a fast-paced environment.
