About The Role
As a Human Resources Generalist at ACE Thermal Systems, you will play a vital role within our HR team, supporting a growing organization dedicated to excellence in aerospace manufacturing. Under the guidance of a Human Resources leader, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing various HR functions to support business objectives. Your expertise will help facilitate a positive work environment, ensure compliance with employment laws, and foster employee engagement and development.
This role involves providing strategic guidance to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance. You will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, helping to resolve complex employee issues, oversee disciplinary actions, and support organizational initiatives aimed at enhancing workplace culture and operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will have a proactive approach to HR management, demonstrating excellent communication skills, confidentiality, and a strong understanding of employment laws and best practices. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to attract, retain, and develop top talent in a competitive industry.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist or in a similar HR role.
Working knowledge of benefits administration, FMLA, employee relations, and employment law is essential.
Familiarity with payroll processing, HRIS systems, and compliance requirements is preferred.
Professional certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP is highly desirable.
Proficiency in HR software systems such as Paylocity or similar platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly.
Responsibilities
Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law compliance.
Serve as a subject matter expert in employee relations, benefits, FMLA, and other HR areas, supporting business unit leaders.
Assist in developing, updating, and enforcing HR policies, including maintaining the Employee Handbook and related documentation.
Manage employee disciplinary processes, investigations, and terminations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
Coordinate and support performance review processes to ensure timely feedback and merit increases where appropriate.
Address complex and sensitive employee issues, including accommodations, investigations, and terminations, with professionalism and confidentiality.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, reviewing policies and practices regularly.
Stay informed of HR trends, legal updates, and best practices to recommend improvements and ensure regulatory adherence.
Collaborate with HR team members and management on initiatives to streamline HR processes and enhance employee engagement.
Support the administration of payroll and benefits programs, ensuring accurate processing and compliance.
