Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Senior AI Engineer at Agiliti AI. The Senior AI Engineer will design, build, and optimize agentic AI systems and infrastructure that power the Elysium platform and its solutions, including autonomous agents, RAG applications, and safety evaluation frameworks. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and deploying machine learning and deep learning models, implementing production-grade software components, integrating data pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions. The role involves working with large-scale data, experimenting with neural network architectures, advancing natural language processing capabilities, and contributing to technical strategy and best practices for robust, compliant AI deployment. The Senior AI Engineer will also mentor team members, review code and architectures, and help ensure system reliability, performance, and security across customer environments.
Qualifications
6+ years of overall professional experience tackling Big Data problems and Gen AI implementation challenges.
Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and production-grade coding practices.
Strong hands-on software engineering. Advanced Python and SQL skills, with experience building APIs, integrating systems, and developing reliable services. Strong practices in version control, automated testing, continuous integration and delivery, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
Experience with Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition, including designing, training, and optimizing deep learning models for complex, real-world tasks.
Hands-on expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), with experience building and deploying language models, RAG systems, and conversational AI applications.
Proficiency with modern AI/ML tooling and frameworks (e.g., Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, ML Ops platforms) and experience deploying models into cloud or containerized environments.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience building scalable, secure AI systems for enterprise environments; familiarity with compliance, safety evaluations, and responsible AI practices is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in remote, distributed teams, communicate complex technical concepts clearly, and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
