Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Freight Broker Agent. The Freight Broker Agent will coordinate freight movements between shippers and carriers, source and negotiate competitive rates, and ensure timely pickup and delivery of loads. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing load boards, maintaining ongoing communication with carriers and customers, tracking shipments, and proactively resolving any service issues. The role also involves building and nurturing relationships with new and existing clients and carrier partners, maintaining accurate documentation, and updating internal systems with shipment status and pricing details. The agent is expected to work independently, meet performance targets, and uphold Reeyo Logistics’ standards for transparency and reliable service.
Qualifications
Experience in freight brokerage, transportation, or logistics operations, including coordinating FTL, LTL, or last mile shipments.
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills to secure carrier capacity and build long-term partnerships with customers and carriers.
Ability to use digital freight platforms, load boards, and standard office software; comfort working in a tech-enabled, remote environment.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments, address service issues, and provide clear updates.
Attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate data entry, documentation, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Prior experience as a freight broker agent or in a similar role is preferred; knowledge of market pricing and freight lanes is beneficial.
Self-motivated and able to work independently on a part-time schedule, with reliable internet access and a suitable remote workspace.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain are a plus.
