Executive Vice President of Project Management

Role Description The Executive Vice President of Project Management is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology initiatives across the organization. This leader will direct project and program management activities, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, adherence to timelines, and effective budget utilization. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing project portfolios, mentoring project management teams, establishing and refining methodologies, and monitoring performance against key metrics. The role will collaborate closely with executive leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams to prioritize projects, mitigate risks, and maintain high standards of quality and stakeholder satisfaction. The Executive Vice President will also drive continuous improvement in project governance, tools, and processes to support scalable growth.
Qualifications
Strong Project Management and Project Planning skills to lead complex, multi-phase initiatives from concept through completion.
Robust Program Management capabilities to oversee interconnected projects, manage dependencies, and align outcomes with organizational strategy.
Proficient Analytical Skills and Budgeting expertise to interpret data, manage financial resources, and support evidence-based decisions.
Extensive experience in IT or technology-focused environments, preferably in consulting or services organizations.
Proven track record in senior leadership roles, with responsibility for large project portfolios and cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at executive levels.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed setting and build high-performing virtual teams.
Relevant bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP) are highly beneficial.
