ASSISTANT MANAGER – CNC MACHINING OPERATIONS
- Manage complete CNC machine shop operations for aerospace manufacturing projects.
- Lead a team of CNC operators, programmers, setters, inspectors, and technicians to achieve production targets.
- Plan and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of aerospace components.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production Planning, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Tooling, and Maintenance departments.
- Oversee machining of critical aerospace components on CNC Turn-Mill Centers, CNC Milling Machines, CNC Grinding Machines, Honing, Lapping, and Super Finishing equipment.
- Review engineering drawings, process sheets, manufacturing plans, and customer requirements before production.
- Ensure optimum machine utilization, manpower allocation, and shop-floor productivity.
- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time, improve efficiency, and lower manufacturing costs.
- Monitor tooling performance and recommend suitable cutting tools, fixtures, and machining strategies.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, quality, and production issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, manufacturing procedures, and customer specifications.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, quality, machine utilization, rejection rates, and delivery performance.
- Conduct operator training and skill-development programs to improve workforce competency.
- Support new product development, process validation, and production readiness activities.
- Ensure implementation of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Maintain strict compliance with workplace safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Participate in audits, quality reviews, and customer inspections whenever required.
- Prepare production reports, capacity planning reports, and performance reviews for management.
