About Position:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Embedded Android Developer to enable, integrate, and support commercial Android devices within the TEMS ecosystem. The role focuses on Android platform development, device onboarding, modem diagnostics, chipset integration, device communication, licensing, and production validation across various Android OEM platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Android development, Java/Kotlin, Android OS internals, modem technologies, C/C++, and embedded device integration while working closely with global engineering teams to deliver innovative telecom testing solutions.

What You'll Do:
Perform end-to-end onboarding and TEMSification of commercial Android devices.
Research, validate, and implement OEM-specific bootloader unlocking procedures.
Create, integrate, and validate Magisk-patched builds and Android rooting workflows.
Support onboarding and integration of Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Motorola, Zebra, Google Pixel, and other Android devices.
Develop next-generation Android platform capabilities using Java and Kotlin.
Build tools and frameworks for device diagnostics, validation, qualification, and testing.
Analyze modem logs, diagnostic traces, and device communication issues.
Implement modem control features including RAT lock, band lock, diagnostics, and chipset-specific capabilities.
Support Qualcomm, MediaTek, Samsung Exynos, and other mobile chipset platforms.
Develop and support device licensing, registration, and secure communication solutions.
Design and maintain C/C++ components for USB agents, device communication, and embedded integrations.
Troubleshoot application, device, connectivity, modem, and network measurement issues.
Support Android OS upgrades, device qualification, automated testing, validation, and release activities.
Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Product, and Support teams across global locations.
Create device qualification reports, technical documentation, test procedures, and operational guides.
Provide L3 technical support for customer escalations related to device integration and diagnostics.
Expertise You'll Bring:
5 to 10 years of experience in Android platform development, embedded software engineering, or device integration.
Strong Android application development experience using Java and/or Kotlin.
Deep understanding of Android OS internals, system services, permissions, application lifecycle, and platform debugging.
Hands-on experience with Android Debug Bridge (ADB), Android developer tools, and device-level troubleshooting.
Experience integrating commercial Android devices, hardware services, and modem technologies.
Knowledge of Android bootloader unlocking, rooting frameworks, Magisk, and custom Android builds.
Experience working with Android OEM devices including Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Motorola, Zebra, and Google Pixel.
Familiarity with Qualcomm, MediaTek, Samsung Exynos, or other mobile chipset platforms.
Strong understanding of modem diagnostics, diagnostic traces, AT commands, RAT lock, band lock, and telecom testing solutions.
Ability to analyze modem and device logs to identify connectivity, measurement, and integration issues.
Hands-on experience with C/C++ development for device communication, embedded software, and USB agents.
Knowledge of USB protocols and device communication frameworks.
Understanding of device licensing, secure registration mechanisms, and communication security.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience investigating and resolving complex device and platform issues independently.
Excellent documentation skills, including qualification reports, troubleshooting guides, and test procedures.
Ability to work effectively with geographically distributed engineering and support teams.
Strong customer-facing communication skills for L3 support and escalation management.
