Computational Aeroelasticity Software Developer
Position Overview
Cadence is seeking a Computational Aeroelasticity Software Developer to develop advanced aeroelastic analysis capabilities for commercial engineering software.
This role combines aeroelasticity, structural dynamics, and scientific software development. The successful candidate will translate engineering methods into robust and practical simulation tools.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and validate methods for aeroelastic analysis, including flutter, gust response, and aerodynamic-structural coupling.
Panel methods (DLM, VLM) development.
Work with finite element models, modal methods, structural dynamics formulations and numerical method in general.
Collaborate with aerospace engineers and software development teams.
Required Qualifications
MSc, Ph.D., or equivalent experience in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Computational Engineering, or a related field.
Strong foundation in aeroelasticity and structural dynamics.
Strong technical knowledge of Panel methods (DLM, VLM), Finite element methods, modal analysis, vibration, or dynamic response.
Flutter, gust response, aeroservoelasticity, or dynamic aeroelasticity.
Experience developing scientific or engineering software using C++, FORTRAN, Python, or a similar programming language.
Desired Technical Skills
Research focused on aerothermoelasticity, hypersonics, or nonlinear aeroelasticity.
Reduced-order modeling techniques.
Aerospace simulation tools such as MSC Nastran, ZAERO, Abaqus, or equivalent.
