Key Responsibilities
Abstract oncology data from medical records with precision and accuracy
Ensure compliance with registry standards and clinical quality measures
Interpret clinical data using knowledge of oncology, anatomy, and physiology
Maintain accurate data entry in registry systems and databases
Apply ICD-10 and oncology coding standards appropriately
Support data integrity and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
RN (Registered Nurse) – required
ODS or CTR certification (NCRA) –
Minimum 2+ years of oncology data abstraction experience
Experience in cancer registry (preferably ACOS-accredited program)
Strong knowledge of oncology terminology, anatomy, and physiology
Familiarity with ICD-10 coding guidelines (preferred)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Compensation
💲 $45–$50 per hour equivalent (based on per-case productivity)
