We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering accurate and timely payroll services across Elders' diverse national workforce, including our Real Estate network. Combining your payroll expertise with a strong customer focus, you'll provide trusted support to employees and stakeholders, ensure payroll processes run smoothly, and contribute to a positive and seamless employee experience. Working as part of a collaborative team, you'll help drive accurate outcomes while supporting the ongoing success of our people and business.
Responsibilities
Assisting with preparing and processing end-to-end fortnightly payrolls
Assisting with the preparation, administration and remittance of all statutory requirements
Ensuring payroll practices are compliant and company policy, awards, employment agreements and legislation are applied correctly
Actioning requests and queries within agreed timelines
Maintaining electronic employee files and records
Building strong relationships
Creating, streamlining and driving efficiencies
About you
Minimum 5 years’ experience within payroll, with a proven ability to deliver accurate and timely payroll services, with real estate experience desirable.
Strong experience in processing large payrolls end-to-end, with the ability to demonstrate an established understanding of payroll and relevant legislation
Chris21 experience essential with technical knowledge highly desirable
A confident communicator (via telephone, email, video conferencing) to engage effectively
Task focussed, with the ability to prioritise under pressure and meet strict deadlines
A strong problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, with Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel
Previous experience with Workday is highly regarded.
