We are seeking a motivated Junior Team Member, Will/Wasiat/Estate to join our Trustee Operations team at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will support the administration and operational management of Will, Wasiat (Islamic Will), and Estate-related services. You will work closely with clients, agents, solicitors, business partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of services while upholding the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service.
What you will be doing
Support the Wills Operations team in delivering prudent, efficient, and customer-focused business support services.
Ensure timely and accurate execution of operational activities and client deliverables.
Draft Wills and Wasiat documents in accordance with approved templates and established procedures.
Assist in the amendment, review, and finalisation of Will and Wasiat documents.
Manage the safekeeping, maintenance, and retrieval of executed Will documents.
Attend to enquiries from agents, testators, and other stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
Participate in internal and external meetings, including preliminary discussions, client meetings, and operational engagements.
Execute operational tasks requiring functional knowledge and attention to detail.
Assist the Unit Head in preparing management reports and business updates.
Maintain safe custody records of Wills under management and perform annual reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Support resource planning and operational coverage to ensure smooth execution of drafting and vetting functions.
Assist in coaching and guiding new team members to facilitate operational readiness and knowledge sharing.
Support internal and external audit exercises by preparing required documentation and responding to audit enquiries.
Review and update policies, guidelines, work processes, forms, and operational documents to enhance controls and improve service delivery.
Participate in process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and automation projects, including the preparation of user requirements and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) documentation.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, business partners, regulators, solicitors, financial institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
Escalate and report operational irregularities, complaints, compliments, process improvements, and project updates to management on a timely basis.
Provide operational support and coverage for peers within Trustee Operations when required.
Undertake additional assignments and responsibilities as assigned by Management from time to time.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in legal services, trust administration, estate planning, financial services, or related fields will be an added advantage.
Basic understanding of Wills, Wasiat, estate administration, or succession planning, or a strong willingness to learn and develop expertise in these areas.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle documentation accurately and efficiently.
Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential client information.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
