Product Manager – Billing
About the Role
Delhivery moves millions of shipments every day, and every one of them has to be priced, invoiced, and collected correctly. A shipment billed late, billed wrong, or not billed at all is revenue the network earned but never banked. A disputed invoice also strains our relationship with a shipper. This role exists to fix that.
As Product Manager for Billing, you will own the product strategy for Delhivery's contract-to-cash engine, from rate card setup and shipment pricing through invoicing, dispute resolution, and collections. You will build systems that price every shipment accurately, catch revenue leakage before it reaches an invoice, and give shippers bills they trust. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role at the intersection of business, finance, operations, and technology.
What You Will Do
Own the roadmap, not just the backlog. Define the product strategy for billing accuracy, revenue assurance, and faster cash realization. Translate business objectives into a prioritized roadmap with crisp KPIs such as billing accuracy, dispute rate, invoice TAT, unbilled revenue, and DSO, and be accountable to them.
Go deep before you go wide. Conduct structured deep-dives across rate cards, contract terms, weight and dimension capture, surcharges, credit notes, and reconciliation to find where and why revenue leaks. Quantify the financial impact of every gap before proposing a fix.
Bridge business reality and product design. Spend time with finance, BD, key account managers, and shippers. Understand why invoices get disputed, why contracts are hard to configure, and where manual work creeps in. Bring that context back into product decisions.
Get the fundamentals right at scale. Build billing systems that handle Delhivery's breadth of businesses, including Express, PTL, FTL, and cross-border, along with complex commercial constructs like slab pricing, fuel-indexed surcharges, and minimum guarantees. Keep everything compliant with GST, e-invoicing, and audit requirements.
Drive execution without losing sight of the bigger picture. Work closely with engineering, QA, finance, and ops to ship scalable solutions on time. Facilitate trade-off conversations between technical feasibility, financial controls, and business urgency, and make the call.
Prioritize ruthlessly. Apply first-principles thinking to separate high-impact initiatives from noise. Keep the team focused on what moves revenue and cash.
What You Bring
2+ years of product management experience in billing, fintech, ERP, logistics, or a fast-paced internet company
A solid grasp of billing and finance fundamentals, including rate cards, invoicing, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and indirect tax (GST and e-invoicing), or the ability to get there quickly
Practical fluency with modern AI tooling: prompt engineering, RAG, and AI-assisted coding environments (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, KIRO)
Strong business instinct and comfort in a finance review, a shipper escalation, or a sprint review
A proven ability to own products end to end, from problem discovery through post-launch iteration
Hands-on SQL skills, so you can pull your own data, reconcile the numbers yourself, and let them challenge your assumptions
The ability to sit in an architecture review, understand the trade-offs being debated, and translate what matters to finance, BD, or leadership without losing fidelity in either direction
Why This Role
Billing is not a back-office function. It is where the value the network creates turns into revenue. Getting it right at Delhivery's scale takes systems thinking, financial rigor, and empathy for both shippers and internal teams in equal measure. If you want to build something that materially changes how a logistics business earns and collects, this is the seat.
