About the Team
The Futures Technology team develops and supports critical applications that enable Futures and Options trading across global markets. The team combines deep business-domain knowledge with modern engineering practices to build resilient, scalable, and intuitive technology solutions for clients and trading professionals.
This role offers the opportunity to work on business-critical systems, gain exposure to global markets, and contribute to the strategic evolution of the Futures technology platform.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Developer in the Futures Technology team, you will contribute to the modernization and re-architecture of technology platforms supporting global Futures and Options trading. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable front-end and back-end applications used by clients, traders, and internal operations teams across global markets.
You will work closely with business, product, and engineering stakeholders to deliver robust, high-performing solutions that enhance the trading lifecycle, user experience, and operational resilience of Futures applications.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and enhance front-end and back-end applications supporting Futures and Options trading workflows.
Participate in the modernization, uplift, and re-architecture of legacy technology platforms.
Build scalable, secure, and maintainable services, APIs, and user interfaces.
Collaborate with global technology teams, business users, and production support partners.
Apply sound software-development lifecycle practices, including code reviews, testing, documentation, and release management.
Diagnose and resolve complex application, data, and production issues.
Provide Level 3 production support for Futures applications and participate in production releases.
Contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous learning, engineering excellence, and operational ownership.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
1+ year (for Analyst) or 3+ years (for Associate) of professional software-development experience.
Strong foundation in object-oriented programming, preferably Java or another object-oriented language.
Understanding of core computer-science concepts, including data structures and algorithms.
Familiarity with software-development lifecycle practices, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
Self-directed, motivated, and eager to learn new technologies and solve challenging technical problems.
Ability to work with guidance from senior engineers while progressively taking ownership of deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Git and familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and tooling.
Exposure to Java concurrency concepts, multithreading, dependency injection, and Java Collections.
Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
Experience developing modern web user interfaces using Angular or React.
Working knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript or TypeScript, and Node.js.
Interest in financial markets, electronic trading, or Futures and Options products.
Experience working with distributed systems, high-volume data, or business-critical production applications.
