Job Description
The Equipment Finance Leasing Specialist is responsible for onboarding, processing, and funding equipment finance transactions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and an exceptional client experience. This role supports the documentation and funding lifecycle of lease and loan transactions involving equipment such as copiers, printers, software, and other office technology solutions.
The specialist serves as a key liaison among vendors, clients, sales partners, credit teams, tax specialists, and servicing teams to ensure transactions are properly documented, accurately booked, funded timely, and transferred seamlessly throughout the servicing lifecycle. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a willingness to learn multiple aspects of equipment finance operations.
Candidates should be comfortable supporting peak business periods, including month-end and quarter-end processing cycles when additional hours may occasionally be required to meet business needs and operational deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Review approved transactions to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and ready for funding.
Analyze transaction packages and become familiar with the vendor, customer, funding source, and transaction requirements.
Onboard and establish transactions according to documented client, vendor, and company-specific requirements.
Set up new customer accounts and maintain accurate account information across multiple systems of record.
Pre-book transactions and prepare them for final funding activities.
Execute final funding processes by authorizing and releasing payments to vendors and funding sources.
Ensure vendors receive payment in accordance with approved transaction terms and funding requirements.
Follow established policies, procedures, and client-specific funding guidelines while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Review vendor notes, funding instructions, and documentation requirements to ensure each transaction is processed correctly.
Partner with Sales, Credit, Tax, Client Support, and Servicing teams to resolve documentation, funding, and account setup issues.
Provide support throughout the lease lifecycle, including inquiries related to promotions, pricing, rates, tax treatment, credits, insurance, end-of-term activities, and servicing requests.
Research and resolve transaction discrepancies while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service.
Ensure completed transactions are properly documented and transitioned to downstream servicing teams.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support operational excellence efforts.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Three to six years of experience in leasing, equipment finance, or other financial operations activities.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Knowledge of equipment finance and leasing products, lease structures, documentation, servicing, and transaction maintenance processes.
Experience supporting lease documentation, funding, servicing, or post-funding operations.
Understanding of credit policies, approval processes, legal documentation, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience collaborating with multiple business functions to resolve documentation and transaction issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers, vendors, and internal partners.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn and utilize new systems and software.
Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in transaction processing.
Ability to interpret and apply client-specific and vendor-specific funding requirements.
Experience working with multiple systems and databases to process and maintain transaction records.
Location expectations: This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week. This position is located at the Marshall, MN, location.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $20.87 - $27.84
