Join us as a Product Owner, Economic Crime Hub
This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding Product Team within the newly formed Economic Crime Hub, where Fraud, Financial Crime and Data & Analytics have come together to create a market-leading capability. You'll play a pivotal role in developing innovative, data-driven solutions that stay one step ahead of increasingly sophisticated AI-enabled fraud and scam activity, helping to protect millions of customers and the wider economy
Take ownership of products that make a real difference. You'll define and deliver a compelling product vision and roadmap that supports the Economic Crime Hub's mission to combat evolving fraud and financial crime threats through data, analytics and cutting-edge technology
Work alongside experts across Fraud, Financial Crime, Data & Analytics and Technology, building strong relationships and harnessing customer and stakeholder insights to develop products that create meaningful business and customer outcomes
Join a culture that values curiosity, innovation and continuous learning. Leveraging Agile ways of working, you'll inspire teams to innovate, embrace change and deliver products that help us stay one step ahead of criminal activity in an increasingly AI-driven landscape
What you'll do
As a Product Owner, you’ll work closely with Data Analytics, Engineering and Architecture teams to shape and build our new Fraud Profiling and Decisioning platform. You’ll play a key role in defining and delivering critical capabilities, navigating complex data environments and ensuring functional and non-functional requirements are clearly understood and translated into effective solutions.
As well as this, you’ll bring the point of view of our customers, end users or stakeholders to the forefront of understanding the product vision. With exceptional leadership skills, you’ll drive your team towards this vision, regularly stopping along the way to checkin, adjust, calibrate and move forward. We’ll also look to you to make sure that stories and enablers meet acceptance and quality criteria, keeping them inline with the vision and strategic objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring your delivery teams are aligned to and delivering against the product vision, working closely with customers and users to validate priorities, incorporate feedback and maximise value at every stage of delivery
Participating in iteration ceremonies to enable continuous improvement
Working with enterprise architects and teams to understand and prioritise the enablers
Supporting the development of your teams by answering any questions and removing impediments
Tracking progress, and attending any retrospective spanning all delivery teams that are involved with delivering the product
The skills you'll need
You’ll be a decisive, commercially minded product leader with strong Agile expertise and a clear focus on customer and business outcomes.
You’ll also need:
The ability to lead complex financial platforms from early build through to production and scale, confidently shaping direction and technical trade-offs with architecture and engineering teams
Fraud or Financial Crime experience is strongly preferred
The ability to connect customer journeys across Retail, Wealth and Commercial, identify gaps in fraud profiling and decisioning, and own a credible migration plan and its outcomes
Strong senior stakeholder and multi-vendor management skills, translating real business problems into clear product direction and a compelling platform story that builds belief and momentum
A commercial mindset, with experience building and defending business cases, tracking ROI and benefits realisation, and applying strong product fundamentals across prioritisation, backlog management and delivery governance
