About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior UX Designer I to join LexisNexis. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design strategy for a specific business or product line, shaping compelling, user-centric experiences that are both intuitive and engaging. Your expertise will help translate complex legal and professional workflows into seamless digital solutions that meet the evolving needs of our global customer base. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and researchers, to develop innovative designs grounded in user research and data-driven insights. As a senior member of the design team, you will also mentor junior designers, foster a culture of innovation, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our product design processes. Your work will directly impact the usability, functionality, and overall success of our customer-facing applications, ensuring they deliver meaningful value and support our company's strategic goals.
Qualifications
Mastery of user-centered design processes, including research, prototyping, and usability testing.
Strong interaction design skills with meticulous attention to detail and a passion for creating seamless user experiences.
Proficiency in Human Factors Engineering and established user-centered design methodologies.
Ability to analyze and synthesize data from analytics, customer insights, and research sources to inform design decisions.
Experience in establishing metrics and using data to guide and optimize design strategies.
Expert-level proficiency in design software such as Axure, Sketch, InVision, and other relevant tools.
Capability to produce high-quality designs across multiple platforms, including web and mobile.
Excellent problem-solving, innovation, collaboration, and mentoring skills, with a proactive approach to challenges.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or related field.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive design strategies for designated business units or product lines.
Develop a deep understanding of customer use cases, advocate for user needs, and translate insights into actionable design solutions.
Create and refine processes that effectively identify customer needs and uncover new product design opportunities.
Collaborate with UX Research teams to gather insights, interpret findings, and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
Manage and deliver user-centered design artifacts, including wireframes, prototypes, and specifications, aligned with product and business goals.
Utilize analytics, customer feedback, and usability testing results to inform and enhance design strategies continually.
Conduct and iterate on user testing sessions, ensuring designs meet usability standards and user expectations.
Mentor junior designers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth, innovation, and best practices.
Build strong partnerships with technical teams to ensure seamless implementation of design solutions.
