Are you looking to start your career in finance and gain hands-on experience within a growing and dynamic funds business?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Fund Accountant to join our Fund Services team in Jersey. This role offers an excellent foundation for someone keen to develop a career in financial services while studying towards a professional qualification. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll gain exposure to a variety of fund structures and clients, developing technical accounting knowledge and practical experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.

About the role
In this role, you'll:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for a variety of fund clients.
Develop an understanding of client structures and transactions, seeking guidance and feedback to support your development.
Assist in the preparation of management accounts, financial statements and other financial reporting deliverables.
Collate information and documentation required by auditors.
Build effective working relationships with clients, auditors and third-party service providers.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure client expectations and reporting deadlines are met.
Support the resolution of accounting queries, providing information and explanations where required.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with the firm's policies, procedures and quality standards.
About you – essential requirements
An interest in accounting and financial services, with a desire to study towards a relevant professional qualification.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for working with financial data.
A positive, proactive and flexible approach, with a genuine desire to learn and develop.
