About Nofence
Nofence has built the world's first virtual fencing solution for livestock. Our solar-powered collar connects to an app over the cellular network, letting producers set up a new grazing area in seconds! No wire, no posts, no problem. Better land, healthier animals, and more time for the people who raise them.
With 10,000+ customers globally and strong momentum in the US, we're growing fast. The Nofence Community is what powers that growth: a network of livestock producers who learn from each other, trust each other, and showcase precision livestock management in their own grazing communities.
Every producer who shares what works for their operation, answers a neighbor's question or hosts a pasture walk helps the next one get started.
The community includes every Nofence user, along with our producer ambassadors and the organizations we partner with. This role is the person who helps it grow.
About the role
The Community Specialist is a new full-time position on the US commercial team, sitting at the intersection of community building, grassroots organizing and partner program operations. This is a role for someone who genuinely loves people, who can earn the trust of working livestock producers, build relationships that last, and translate that trust into measurable program growth.
You'll help build the Nofence Community from the ground up, in person and online. That means connecting producers with nearby and like-minded users, supporting the gatherings they host themselves, coordinating events, helping shape our online community, and running the day-to-day of our ambassador program. You'll work cross-functionally with the growth, sales, marketing, customer success and product teams to expand our community footprint.
Our principle is simple: Nofence creates the space, and producers shape it. Data will inform your work to assess community health in person and online, and where the next opportunity is, but the community is led by what our producers want. If that sounds like your kind of work, we want to hear from you.
What you'll do
Community Building
In-person and online mobilization and motivation of the passionate producers that make up Nofence's growing customer community. Recognize leaders and give producers the tools to help each other. Support local partnerships with extension services, conservation groups, and farmer networks that bring producers together.
Community Events & Gatherings
Real connections between real people happen in person. Plan and run grassroots events and represent Nofence at key conferences, managing all training, operations, and logistics behind the scenes.
Ambassadors
Identify, recruit, and onboard producer ambassadors; keeping them connected, inspired, and engaged. Serve as their main point of contact while keeping program operations running smoothly.
Community Insights
Use data from across the business to identify where to focus community-building efforts. Track community health and bring direct producer feedback back to internal teams as clear, actionable recommendations.
About you
We're looking for someone who brings genuine empathy and strong people skills, someone producers will pick up the phone for. The ideal candidate has:
A background in grassroots organizing, or a related field. Practical experience counts as much as formal qualifications.
Experience working directly with farmers, ranchers and or rural communities. You understand how they think, what they value, and how trust is built with farmers and ranchers.
Strong organizational skills and comfort with data. You can manage a spreadsheet and a relationship in the same afternoon.
Strong event organizing skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially using social media.
A proactive, self-directed work style. You don't wait to be told what to do next.
Comfort with travel; farm visits, events big and small and team gatherings are part of the job.
Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred), Google Workspace, and basic data tracking.
Ideal candidate attributes:
Knowledge of agriculture and livestock production.
Experience building or managing ambassador, affiliate, or referral programs.
Experience growing or moderating an online community, forum or group.
What We Offer
As a company still in an exciting early stage of growth, you'll have real ownership over your work and a direct line to the team shaping the future of Precision Livestock Management in North America. We offer:
Competitive salary and benefits package, including employer-paid health insurance.
25 days of paid vacation plus all federal holidays.
An additional 5 days of company-wide leave during quieter periods
Retirement contributions and 8 weeks paid parental leave.
Full product training and onboarding, including travel to meet the global team.
A close-knit, mission-driven team that genuinely believes this technology can be the biggest shift in agriculture since the tractor.
The base salary for this role is $55,000 - $74,000 per year. When determining salary ranges for our roles, we look at external market data and the salaries of Nofencers holding the same or similar roles. Our pay bands reflect the broad range of skills and experience levels great candidates bring to us. When making individual pay decisions, we take into account the candidate's depth of relevant experience, their skills relative to the role, and their location.
