As a Technologist at Baxter Healthcare Corporation in Cleveland, MS, you will be part of a world-class team dedicated to maintaining and improving our powerful equipment. Your role is vital to keeping operations flawless and aligned with high quality and safety standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinate with Engineering to perform equipment modifications as needed.
Generate and refine Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures.
Analyze machine failures to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Assist in annual equipment inspections.
Monitor parts spending and reliability trends to optimize performance.
Apply a laptop to communicate with PLCs, VFDs, Panelviews, and Servos for diagnosing issues.
Use diagnostic tools such as drawing packages and multi-meters to resolve electrical issues.
Diagnose mechanical wear, alignment, adjustment, and setup issues.
Develop standard work procedures for troubleshooting and setups/changeovers.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for maintenance-related guidelines and processes.
Procure estimates for tasks and projects and order necessary parts.
Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and equipment suppliers for new equipment installations.
Work around moving equipment safely and effectively.
Learn, understand, and apply rigorous quality standards, SOPs, and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical, or discrepancy issues occur.
Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
Physical Requirements
This position requires physical capability, including:
Ability to individually push/pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
Capacity to bend or stoop, squat, climb, and reach both above and below shoulder level. The role also requires twisting and bending at the neck and waist, along with maintaining balance.
Normal visual acuity, including the ability to distinguish colors.
Required Education and Experience
High School graduate or GED
An Associate's Degree in a technical related field (e.g., Industrial Maintenance) is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical systems repair, industrial maintenance, or an equivalent role.
Understanding and application of predictive maintenance tools.
Ability to drive and guide repair of equipment alongside team members.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $64,000 - $80,000 annually. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
