About the Role:
We're looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer who goes beyond maintaining pipelines and actively drives innovation and improvement across our build and release processes.
The candidate will be responsible for design reusable, optimized DevOps solutions, automate delivery workflows. The role involves close collaboration with development, testing, DevOps Team, infrastructure, and release teams to make software delivery faster and more reliable.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively assess existing build, release, and deployment processes to find inefficiencies, manual steps, and failure points, and propose and implement improvements.
Build reusable, standardized pipeline templates, scripts, and frameworks that teams can adopt across projects, reducing duplication and onboarding effort.
Evaluate emerging DevOps tools, practices, and technologies (including AI-assisted automation where relevant), run proofs of concept, and recommend and implement where they add clear value.
Develop, maintain, and optimize Azure DevOps YAML CI/CD pipelines across multiple projects.
Automate build, packaging, deployment, and release processes using PowerShell, Python, Azure DevOps REST APIs, and other scripting tools.
Implement and use monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus/ELK to gain visibility into pipeline and infrastructure health.
Required Skills & Qualifications
BE/BTech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline from a reputed university.
3–5 years of hands-on experience in Azure DevOps / DevOps engineering, with practical experience in CI/CD and build/release automation.
Strong hands-on experience with Git and TFS source control, YAML pipelines, and CI/CD implementation.
Strong scripting and automation skills in PowerShell or Python, including working with REST APIs.
Hands-on experience with JFrog Artifactory and Azure Artifacts.
Experience with code quality and security tools such as SonarQube and Checkmarx.
Experience managing build agents and Windows build environments, including troubleshooting build and infrastructure issues.
Working knowledge of Docker/container technologies.
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK.
Good to Have
Experience with Ansible for configuration management and infrastructure automation.
