Join Our Team as a Volunteer Coordinator at Cabrillo Hospice!
Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others? Do you have a heart for service and the ability to inspire volunteers? If so, we want YOU to join our caring and dynamic team at Cabrillo Hospice!
What You’ll Do: As our Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll be the superhero behind the scenes, managing, training, and coordinating our amazing volunteer team. Here’s how you’ll make a difference:
Recruit & Train: Lead exciting recruitment sessions to find, educate, and onboard volunteers who are ready to lend a helping hand.
Volunteer Support: Ensure our volunteers have the tools they need through training, support, and supervision. Keep track of monthly stats and make sure the program is running smoothly.
Team Player: Be part of interdisciplinary team meetings, ensuring our patients and families get the care and support they deserve.
Community Outreach: Spread the word! Share the importance of hospice volunteer services with individuals and community groups.
Bereavement Care: Oversee our Bereavement Program, providing grief counseling and support to families and caregivers after the loss of their loved ones.
What You Bring:
Healthcare Experience: At least 2 years in a healthcare setting (hospice and volunteer experience preferred).
Education: A college degree in healthcare or human services is a plus!
Grief Counseling Skills: Experience in grief or loss counseling is needed if you take on the Bereavement Coordinator role.
Driver’s License: Must have a valid license and reliable transportation.

Pay Range for Posted Region
$60,000—$75,000 USD
