A sixty-person ed-tech company selling to schools and colleges, hiring for its product team. The team is small enough that everyone knows what everyone else is working on. It has partnered with Flexiple to hire a product manager. Flexiple is a managed talent marketplace that places vetted professionals with companies in India and abroad.
Why we are hiring
The product manager decides what gets built and why, working with engineers and designers and checking the results after launch. Users are teachers and students, and the product has to work on mid-range phones and uneven connections.
What you would own
Understand user problems through interviews, data and support feedback
Define the roadmap and explain the reasoning behind priorities
Write clear requirements and acceptance criteria
Work with engineers and designers through each release
Define success metrics and review them after launch
Coordinate with sales, support and operations on rollouts
Run small experiments before committing to big builds
What we need
3 to 8 years in product management
Experience as a product manager, or as an analyst or engineer moving into product
Ability to turn vague problems into clear requirements
Comfort with data and basic SQL
Good written and verbal communication
Sound prioritisation and willingness to say no
Extras
An MBA or a technical degree
Experience with analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude or SQL
Exposure to agile delivery
