Job Description SummaryThe MRO Test Cell Services team is responsible for overall project management of test cell correlation activities for Commercial applications. This role involves close collaboration with Engine Performance Engineering, other Engineering organizations, Commercial teams, TEH suppliers, GE shops, and test cells. We are seeking an engineering student with a passion for technology development and the aerospace industry to help the team achieve strategic goals in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to test cell correlation process improvement and standardization while gaining hands-on experience in an engineering organization.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Support process improvement initiatives related to test cell correlation projects, with guidance from experienced engineers.
Propose and implement solutions to improve project management activities and develop a Knowledge Hub using automation and/or AI tools.
Gather input from experienced team members to support documentation and tool standardization across teams.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to meet project and business objectives.
Demonstrate engineering judgment, learning agility, and attention to detail in assigned tasks.
Present and substantiate results from your work to peers, senior leadership, and direct leaders.
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Mechatronics, or Energy), with no more than two years remaining until graduation.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Enthusiasm for learning and professional growth.
Fluency in English.
Availability of 30 hours per week; in-person work at GEIQ facilities.
Desired Characteristics
Background in Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and Statistics.
Experience with Python or a similar programming/computational language.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma.
Project management skills.
Experience using AI tools.
