Summary
The Survey Technician performs field inspections and data collection to assess the condition of building assets. This role gathers accurate field data, identifies facility defects and safety issues, and supports project teams with clear documentation and recommendations. Most of our survey work focuses on commercial roofing systems with opportunity to work on other facility assets including building envelope, pavement, lighting, HVAC, and more. This work schedule requires regular overnight travel for stretches of approximately 3 weeks at a time, which may increase or decrease depending on project requirements.
This role operates at the front lines of Mantis’ facility asset management methodology, with heavy use of our field-based Mantis Perform mobile app. Technicians serve as the face of the company on-site and play a critical role in capturing the data that drives client decisions. Work is completed in the field on client sites across the country under the direction of a Project Manager or Field Team Leader.
