About the Company
We are helping our client, a publicly traded U.S. AI technology company, expand its finance function. The company develops AI-powered products for enterprise customers and is growing rapidly across the U.S. and international markets. Its continued expansion creates an interesting environment for finance professionals who want to combine public-company reporting with exposure to broader financial and strategic initiatives.
About the Role
In this role, you will be a part of the company's finance department and one of the first team members to join the rapidly upscaling global company. You'll take full, hands-on ownership of SEC reporting, working directly with the CFO and being involved in other finance projects.
While SEC reporting will remain your core responsibility, the opportunity extends well beyond it. You will have the chance to participate in international M&A, due diligence, financial planning, and finance systems development, with the flexibility to expand your involvement based on your interests, strengths, and professional ambitions.
This is an individual contributor position offering independence, direct CFO collaboration, and an opportunity to gradually broaden your finance expertise while maintaining ownership of a critical reporting function.
Key Responsibilities
Own the preparation and coordination of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other relevant disclosures.
Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
Work closely with the CFO, external auditors, and legal counsel on SEC reporting, disclosure requirements, and technical accounting matters.
Strengthen disclosure controls and improve SEC reporting processes, systems, and workflows.
Have the opportunity to participate in international M&A, due diligence, and reporting for acquired entities.
Contribute to financial projections, planning, and broader strategic finance initiatives as your scope develops.
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial reporting, including public-company experience.
2+ years of hands-on ownership of SEC reporting within a publicly traded technology company (SaaS experience preferred), including preparation of Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and technical accounting.
Active CPA license.
Ability to independently own reporting processes and work effectively with senior stakeholders.
Interest in developing broader finance expertise beyond SEC reporting.
What the Company Offers
The company offers a fully remote position within the U.S., competitive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package. You will work directly with CFO and other top-managers of the company and will have the opportunity to participate in financial and strategic initiatives across an international business.
The role provides room to shape your professional development according to your interests and ambitions, combining the independence of an individual contributor position with exposure to a broader finance function in a growing, publicly traded AI technology company.
